Dresscode

Tropical Formal

Think lightweight fabrics, bold colors or florals, and polished looks suited for warm weather — like linen suits, breezy dresses, and stylish sandals. Dress to impress, but keep it cool and party-ready!

Women

Tropical Glam Midi or Maxi Dress

The jungle path isn’t stiletto-friendly—opt for wedges, block heels, or flats.

Men

Lightweight Suit or Dressy Attire

Think dressy, not denim—ties are totally optional.

Travel Details

Fly into Cancun International Airport (CUN) - Playa del Carmen is approximately 60 minutes from Cancun Airport.

There are direct flights from cities like Calgary, Vancouver, Denver, London, Madrid, and Venezuela. We recommend booking your flights early to ensure you don’t miss any of the festivities!

Once you land in Cancun, here are a few easy ways to reach Playa del Carmen:

1. Rent a car

Perfect if you want the freedom to explore on your own.

There are plenty of rental agencies at Cancun Airport, but do your research—some companies have hidden fees or try to upsell insurance. We recommend booking through a trusted agency and reading the fine print carefully or reach out to Paulina and she can help you organize a private rental car.

In Playa del Carmen, street parking is available but often limited. It’s usually paid (look for parking meters or attendants), so check in advance if your hotel or Airbnb offers private parking to make things easier.

2. Book a Private Shuttle

The easiest and most comfortable option.

Pre-book a trusted shuttle for door-to-door service straight to your hotel or Airbnb. Great for groups or anyone who wants to sit back and relax after the flight.

Our recommendation is that you book with the guys from FiveStars Transportation, with the code NICKDANI for 10% off.

3. Take the ADO bus

A super affordable and reliable option.

The ADO bus is air-conditioned and runs directly from Cancun Airport to downtown Playa del Carmen in about an hour. Tickets are around $15 USD and can be purchased online or at the airport.

Keep in mind that the bus runs on a set schedule and does not operate 24/7, so it’s best to check the timetable in advance and coordinate based on your flight arrival time. Once you arrive in Playa, you’ll need a short Uber/taxi ride from the bus terminal to your hotel or Airbnb.

4. Take the Mayan Train

A NEW affordable and reliable option.

The Tren Maya now offers service from Cancun Airport to Playa del Carmen, providing a fast and scenic way to travel through the Riviera Maya. The ride takes roughly 25–35 minutes, depending on the schedule. Tickets typically range from $8–$15 USD and can be purchased online or at the station.

Do keep in mind that the train operates on specific departure times and may not run late at night, so it’s best to check the schedule ahead of your trip. Once you arrive at the Playa del Carmen station, you’ll need a short Uber/taxi ride to your hotel or Airbnb.

Visa Requirements

Depending on your passport, you might need a visa or special travel authorization to enter Mexico. We recommend checking with your local Mexican embassy or this official site to make sure everything’s in order ahead of time.

Let us know if you have questions or need any help — we want everyone to have a smooth and stress-free arrival!
